There is plenty to see and do for travel and tourism in California.  Visit the stars in Hollywood when you travel Southern California and be sure and spend some time at the hot sandy beaches, take a boat cruise in the ocean or tour around laid back Los Angeles.  Northern California travel you have got the unique San Francisco Bay area, the picturesque Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars, Alcatraz island and mountains for skiing.  Back to travel Southern California and you have San Diego at the bottom of the state with good beaches, water based sports, theme parks, zoos and more.
