Things You Won't Find in a California Travel Guide |

California is one big state, so if you are considering vacationing there, we strongly recommend a California travel guide to help you navigate this wonderful, diverse place. Besides its incredible natural beauty, there are thousands of tourist attractions that have been man-made. Think Disneyland, Sea World, Knotts Berry Farm, Universal Studios, ad infinitum. And the beaches in California can be every bit as entertaining as the amusement parks. There's an old saying, "it takes all kinds," and on the beaches, you are certain to see at least some of them. I used to travel Southern California quite a bit, and would stay in hotels on the beach when I could. I saw more than one bizarre incident on those beaches that made the awesome power of the waves dim in comparison to the antics of some of the people. Once I saw an actor (?) who was either practicing a mime or acting out some bizarre ritualistic behavior in front of hundreds on the beach. There isn't a California travel guide that will point out where to find the weirdest people on beaches, but when you go, be prepared for strange, and mostly harmless, people on the beaches. |
