travel and tourism in california, california travel guide  I have been wondering why I still see travel southern California ticket rates starting as low as 50 dollars each way on TV with the continually increasing prices of oil but now know how airlines are doing it. It looks like the end of May and June is the time when popular California travel guide carriers like US Airways, Frontier and Midwest Airlines will be scaling back on their amenities to help cope with the fuel price hikes.

Starting on June 1, US Airways will not give free snacks to domestic travelers who are sitting in coach. As if cramped, over booked seats aren’t enough now US Airways will only be offering a drinks service for free. The bag of pretzels were bad but better than nothing. How much money could they be saving with this new rule?
Starting on June 10 all tickets purchased through Frontier Airlines will come with an extra 25 dollar fee when checking more than one bag. Expect their normal rates to also increase.

All flights purchased through Midwest Airlines will come with an extra 20 dollar fee for checking more than one bag. Travel and tourism in California is still thriving though.
