One of my favorite summers was when 3 of my friends and I picked up a California travel guide and just decided to go. We were passing this California travel guide around that my parents had brought home and each one of us were saying things like, “Man this California travel guide makes me want to be there” so at one point we all looked at each other threw the California travel guide on the table and said, “Let’s do it!”. We all go so excited that right then and there we decided to head over to Cali the next day. It was so cool, almost like one of those Stand By Me moments where we just went.
 
We did tell everyone we were going, we just didn’t disappear, but it was so spontaneous that it felt like we were going into an adventure and not just a trip. Thanks to that very inconspicuous California travel guide, we all had the summer of our lives. The drive was pretty long, but with everyone taking turns driving it wasn’t bad at all. Also thanks to our northern California travel guide, we knew exactly where to stay, where to eat and what to see, so we didn’t have to play put the tail on the donkey. Now every time we feel like doing something spontaneous and cool we say, “Travel Guide!”
