Growing-up in the desert southwest, our family would travel Southern California namely, the San Diego area in the summers. I loved getting out of the heat and enjoying the beautiful San Diego beaches and scenery. I think half the tourists there were from Arizona in the summer time. My one son now lives in Southern California and he is now my California travel guide when I visit him. Being that he lives there, he shows me all the hidden treasures off the beaten path. There are beautiful drives, trails and areas that I would never have known about, if he hadn’t of showed me. This is the best way to see a city. I have a friend who moved to the San Francisco area a year ago. I will definitely have Northern California travel on my list too. I have been to that area a few times, but I love being shown all the less popular areas that only a local would know. Everytime I travel Northern or Southern California, I see and learn something new.
