A California Travel Guide Gives Lots of Information But Can't Make Choices for Us |

California is a big state and a fascinating one to travel. I checked a California travel guide out of the library so that we could decide whether to do some Northern California travel this summer or travel Southern California. The differences between the two are incredible. In fact, it's been bandied about by California politicials that each of these should be separate states. If we go to Northern California, we definitely want to take in San Francisco, but if the kids have their way, they want to go to Southern California and visit Disneyland again. Disneyland certainly is a fun place to go and we could also spend some late afternoons at the beach, too. The shopping in the coastal towns of Southern California is awesome, so we might consider that, too. We are within driving distance of Southern California and could take the money we allocated for plane tickets and go shopping instead. On the other hand, the food in San Francisco is stunningly good and it is so much cooler there in the summer, so that might be a good choice, too. |
