travel and tourism in california, northern california travel  Disc golf is a sport I had not heard of until this week. A neighbor who had played it in Oregon told me about it. After doing some research, I found out disc golf has been around since the 60’s and there is even a Professional Disc Golf Association, which has around 20,000 members. The rules are the same as golf but instead of a hole, there is a basket to catch flying discs. There are a range of “driver” discs to “putting” discs, which are designed for different situations.

Living in the greater Los Angeles area, my neighbor and I went looking for a nearby course. A quick search showed a long list of results ranging from northern California travel to southern California travel. We choose a course in Pasadena called the Hahamonga Watershed Park. It was a full 18 hole, Par three course in a beautiful wooded setting.

Anyone active, making travel southern California plans should consider visiting this course. The park is located near Pasadena and is free. From what I understand, disc golf courses are always free to play. Travel and tourism in California during this time of the year is a great choice.
