California Travel Guide: Sights in the LA Area |

Being that I have lived in the LA area for a year now, I think I can be your Southern California travel guide for some of the hotspots, great places to eat and sights to see. The first place I think any family, couple or person traveling solo should visit is the Getty Center, which sits on a hill on the west side of the city, right off the 405. It is in the general area of UCLA. Part museum, part botanical garden with a cool restaurant it is actually free on many days to get in. The only cost is parking. After going into the parking lot, which costs 10 to 20 dollars (it has been awhile), visitors take a tram up to the action. Many who travel Southern California take a trip to the Getty Center.
I have been talking about the main campus of the Getty Center but there is actually another one near the ocean, in the hills of the Pacific Palisades. I have never been to this one so I can’t offer any California travel guide insight. The travel Southern California video above will give an inside look at the relatively recent build of the LA Getty Center.
