travel and tourism in california, california travel guideThis year we decided to do something different. We checked into travel and tourism in California and studied a California travel guide online. Travel  Southern California seemed to be the most interesting for us. We wanted to do a few unusual things and so we set out to find them. Our vacation this year was in the winter so we combined two things that are great in winter. We went to Los Angeles first for Chinese New Year. This year is the year of the Tiger and there are many celebrations and festivals during the month of February. We ate the most wonderful foods and learned so much about the Chinese culture. Of course we also went to Universal studios.
We then went to Channel Island National Park near Ventura to watch the great whales go from Alaska to Mexico. That is a sight to behold.They are such large creatures and yet so graceful, it is amazing. There is so much to see in California that we will have to go back more than once to see all of the other attractions available.
